‘Exploring the Member Journey’ Workshop Highlights

We are thrilled to share the fantastic success of our recent workshop, co-hosted in partnership with Latcham and Salt Media Ltd.

The event took place at the prestigious Caledonian Club on the 18th of June, and we are delighted to report that the feedback from delegates has been overwhelmingly positive!

Diving into the Member Journey

The theme of our workshop was ‘Exploring the Member Journey,’ which provided a deep dive into the key touchpoints for members from recruitment to advocacy. The workshop attracted around 50 membership professionals, all eager to collectively explore the pivotal stages that shape the member journey and discuss ways to personalise and improve these experiences.

Key Insights and Discussions

One of the central topics was how to create impactful member experiences that drive lasting engagement and retention. Our discussions debunked the ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, highlighting the importance of personalisation in member interactions. We also focused on developing a tailored omnichannel strategy to accommodate the unique journeys of each member.

Expert Speakers and Shared Insights

Our lineup of speakers included Alana Turnbull from Chord UK Ltd, David Lonie from Latcham, and Nick Cooper from Salt Media Ltd, each of whom delivered brilliant and insightful presentations. They shared valuable insights into the common challenges faced by membership organisations and offered practical solutions.

Workshop Highlights

Some of the standout moments from the day included:

  • Engaging Members Over the Telephone: We explored the benefits of positively engaging with members over the telephone, emphasising the benefit of human conversation, specifically during the onboarding process and if a member hasn’t renewed.
  • The Power of Storytelling: We delved into how storytelling can be a powerful tool to connect with members on a deeper level, fostering stronger relationships and loyalty.

The workshop was a resounding success, but don’t just hear it from us:
